About the Event: Welcome to the second annual Faerie & Fantasy Faire: Horns & Hooves! Following the incredible success of our inaugural year, we are expanding to our first-ever two-day event. This year’s theme explores the ethereal grace of unicorns and the alluring mystique of the fae.

About Van Isle Mermaids: The Van Isle Mermaids were delighted to be the resident merfolk at last year’s Faire, and we are so excited to return to the Mermaid Grotto for 2026! Because the event has grown, we are looking to expand our event pod. Whether you are an experienced professional or just looking to dip your toes into the world of mermaiding, we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteer Information: Please note that these are volunteer positions. While these roles are unpaid, all volunteers who commit to 4+ hours of service will receive a free weekend pass to explore the rest of the Faire!

Who We're Looking For:

• 18 years of age plus

• Warm, enthusiastic, and comfortable engaging with children and families

• Comfortable working with a team and taking direction
